Anatomy and Physiology:  Give a brief explanation of how a muscle contracts and then releases.

Biology:  Explain 3 things that you have learned this quarter.

Biochemistry:  Explain what a protein is and distinguish between the three types of amino acids and their specific properties.

Env Chem:  Using diagram (figure) 4.2 in your book, describe how the energy from combustion of fuels is converted to electrical energy.

Botany:  Explain the difference between a variety and a hybrid.

Physics:  An eagle flying along a horizontal path drops the snake that it caught from a height of 100m.  The snake travels 25m horizontally before it hits the ground below.  What is the speed of the eagle?

Biology:  Describe each of the steps of light-dependent and light-independent reactions.

Biochemistry: How can certain disease be linked to the human genome?

Physics:  A 25 kg chair initially at rest on a horizontal floor requires a 165N force to set it in motion.  Once the chair is in motion, a 127N horizontal force keeps it moving at a constant velocity.  Determine the coefficient of static and kinetic friction between the chair and the floor.

Botany:  Identify 5 reasons why scientists use scientific names for organisms:

Env Chem:  Give a brief summary of what you have researched so far for your global warming and climate change paper.

Anatomy and Physiology:  How do each of the 4 characteristics of skeletal muscle contribute to it's function?  Be specific and try to give an example with each.

Biology:  How do intracellular receptors differ from membrane receptors?
What will happen to a houseplant if you water it with salt water?

Biochemistry:  Explain the correlation between gene number and organismal complexity.  Also - explain why scientists found the task of mapping the human genome so important that they spent over 20 years completing it.

Physics:  Describe the forces acting on a car accelerating from rest to a steady speed along the highway.

Env Chem:  Find one source on the internet that argues against global warming.  Cite 2 of their main points.

Botany:  Describe and give an example of each of the 3 types of simple tissues found in plants.

A and P:  Discuss how you used each of the 7 functions of the muscular system this morning whether you knew it or not.

Biology: Describe how energy from sunlight is transferred to ATP and NADPH.

Biochemistry:  Discuss how genes encode proteins and identify each of the codons used.

Physics:  Create an experiment that would test Newton's 2nd and 3rd laws of motion.

Env Chem:  Refer to the graph and section 3.2 in your book.  Describe how the levels of CO2 have changed over the past 50 years.  What are some proposed causes for this change and is this indicative of a much longer trend?  Explain.

Botany:  Explain what a meristem is and why each type of meristem is essential to plant life.

Biochemistry:  What does genome data tell us?  What are the practical outcomes of genomics?

Env Chem: Compare and contrast the terms climate change and global warming.  Why should the assertions made by John Holdren in your text be concerning at least?

Botany:  Discuss why you believe many people are quick to trust anything labeled as "all natural" or from plant products?
